This training is for domestic violence service providers only.
By the end of the training, participants will be able to:
- Understand how trauma impacts survivors of domestic violence
- Identify different trauma reactions in survivors that staff may witness and ways in which to respond
- Learn and practice tips and techniques for crisis intervention including the importance of non-verbal communication, ensuring physical safety for survivors and staff, and verbal de-escalation
