MNADV Statement on Charlottesville

August 15, 2017

We are committed to creating a social, political, and economic environment that is rooted in justice and safety for all. Though we are primarily focused on ending domestic violence, we agree with the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”

The Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV) joins the National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) to support its statement on recent events:

Racism, anti-Semitism, and hatred directed at immigrants and refugees are dangerous, un-American, and make victims of domestic violence from these communities less likely to reach out for help.

We are committed to creating a social, political, and economic environment that is rooted in justice and safety for all. Though we are primarily focused on ending domestic violence, we agree with the words of Martin Luther King, Jr., that “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
