MNADV Welcomes Interim Executive Director

December 5, 2017

Interim Executive Director

Darren Mitchell, J.D., has been chosen as Interim Executive Director of MNADV by its Board of Directors.

The Maryland Network Against Domestic Violence (MNADV) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Darren Mitchell as Interim Executive Director. We are confident he will provide strong leadership during this time of transition following the retirement of Michaele Cohen.

Mr. Mitchell has nearly 20 years of experience in the domestic violence field, from Senior Attorney at the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence’s National Center on Full Faith & Credit, to co-founding the Legal Resource Center on Violence Against Women, a national domestic violence technical assistance project, in 2003. Since 2004, he has also been consulting on numerous statewide and national domestic violence projects, including efforts to prevent domestic violence abusers’ access to firearms.

Mr. Mitchell can be contacted directly by email at dmitchell@mnadv.org.

The MNADV Board of Directors is committed to maintaining our high standards during the transition to a permanent Executive Director and we are excited about the future of the organization. Please join us in welcoming Darren to the MNADV team.

Thank you,

Inga James
President
MNADV Board of Directors
